Safety first!

Every day, our professionals carry out renovation work and do so with great safety awareness. Continuous training is absolutely necessary to permanently maintain our high level of specialisation and guarantee the safety of our customers and our people. Safety is an absolute priority if you want to be a reliable partner in industrial works. Our in-house prevention advisers, as well as our experienced site supervisors, workers and project managers work on this every day.

That’s why we have three internal Prevention Advisors: one IPA level 1 and two IPA level 2, to ensure and guarantee maximum safety. At Group Suerickx, safety always comes first!

VCA certification

All our departments have a VCA Petrochemistry certificate which demonstrates the strong safety management system for our overall activities, as well as in relation to specific additional requirements for the petrochemical industry. Health, safety and the environment are and will continue to be crucial even within the world of 'Renovation'. This is an important investment for us and requires efforts from all our staff and partners in the realisation of our work.

THE BEST MEANS OF COMMUNICATION

Toolbox meeting

Our monthly toolbox meetings are the communication tool of choice to positively adjust the behaviour of our employees when it comes to wellbeing. To this end, our prevention adviser will work out a topic through a presentation that will be highlighted in a practical and sometimes interactive way. This can range from legislation or use of PPE or a specific safety situation, an analysed risk, findings from a workplace inspection, etc. The key is always to encourage a proactive attitude by providing directly applicable information and exchanging knowledge.

ADHERENCE TO ALL SAFETY AGREEMENT

Comprehensive start-up briefing

A specific start-up briefing is organised before our people start a new project. This will give the staff in question all the information they need to start the project in full knowledge of the facts. During the works, our site manager is responsible for strict adherence to all safety agreements.
